    Fort Delaware State Park

    		Accessible by a half-mile ferry ride from Delaware City, Fort Delaware State Park is one of the oldest state parks in Delaware. A brick and granite, Union fortress, Fort Delaware provides a look at life in 1863. Costumed interpreters help to provide insights into fort life. Pea Patch Island, where the fort is located, also offers wildlife viewing and hiking.
